Bachelor of Science in Management Information Systems

One of the most important functional areas in business is that of “information services”—which supports general managerial decision-making and operations. The New Dimensions MIS program has been designed to help learners develop management skills and capabilities about spreadsheets, databases, information systems, networks, and the Internet, in order to help others make informed management decisions.  It will help managers make critical decisions to questions like “how should I use spreadsheets,” “how should I use databases,” “how should my network be configured, and how should I use it/manage it,” “how can we maximize the benefits of the Internet,” etc. The program has not been designed to produce programmers, systems specialists, etc.  Rather, students in the program learn how to integrate information systems thinking and elements into management, and are then very well positioned to benefit from more technical credentials. ??Students will complete the business foundation courses in the on-ground, once weekly format, and then move into MIS major course to be offered in an online course environment. The final two courses will be conducted on-ground.
