Culinary Arts (AS)
Realizing the need to equip students to enter into the creative and expanding field of cuisine, the Art Institute of California-San Francisco offers an Associate degree in Culinary Arts. With this degree in hand students will then have the benefit of seeking substantial employment in hospitals, banquet centers, five star restaurants, and catering businesses.
The Associate program of Culinary Arts at the Art Institute of California-San Francisco prepares students by providing them with unique and thorough training both in the classroom and through interning at state of the art kitchen facilities. Students will be tested on cost and inventory control, food preparation and visual appeal, measurements and proportions, and creative use of ingredients to produce the highest quality foods.
Once students graduate from the Associate of Culinary Arts program from the Art Institute of California-San Francisco, students will be prepared to be successful employees and will have the skills necessary to whip up succulent pastries, foods from a variety of cultures, as well as innovative baking skills and advanced cooking techniques.
