The City of Tampa and Tampa Bay

The Tampa Bay area offers a rich, inviting mix of incredible beaches, year-round recreation, fun and excitement, as well as cultural diversity. Situated on Florida's west coast, Tampa Bay is really many distinct communities connected by the bay waters. Tampa and the Tampa Bay area offer miles of glistening waterways and sandy shorelines and close proximity to the nearby Gulf beaches. Tampa's waterfront consists of Hillsborough Bay and Tampa Bay, the beautiful Hillsborough and Alafia rivers, and several lakes. Here, you'll find a unique blend of urban excitement and natural beauty. Tampa Bay is not only the most populous and affluent metropolitan area in Florida, but also the state's number one television market.

Tampa's Social Scene

In Tampa, you'll never run out of things to do. You can thrill to roller coasters in the morning, catch some rays on the beach in the afternoon, and enjoy a big-league game at night. The area offers a world of shopping and an exciting and diverse nightlife; miles of white sand beaches, jet skiing, parasailing, boating, and succulent seafood; Busch Gardens, the Florida Aquarium, the Museum of Science & Industry and Lowry Park Zoo; and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Devil Rays, and Lightning.

Tampa is a multi-cultural city with a thriving and powerful Hispanic population, where every Latin American country is represented. Around 10% of Tampa's population are Latino, and one out of every three people in Tampa bears a Hispanic surname. Tampa Bay is such a collage of cultures that the area has been named one of the five most diverse, integrated urban areas in the country by the U.S. Census Bureau.

The area offers a wonderful place to explore design, arts and culture.
