Interior Design (BFA)
Our Interior Design program is a blend of art and science enabling you to merge form and function into your work. Successful designers not only know how to change an interior space to make it look better, they make it function better. Graduates of this program understand how the psychology behind altering the client's surroundings will in turn increase the well being and productivity of the people who live, work, or play there.
The program begins with a solid foundation in basic rendering and perspective, and then builds upon aesthetic and technical problem-solving skills. You will discover the differences between designing for architectural firms, retail stores, hotels, and restaurants. You will also learn how to maintain accurate records, write contracts, and work successfully with wholesalers in the industry to help manage costs. Upon graduation, you will have received hands-on training and instruction from our award-winning faculty and organized a portfolio to showcase your accomplishments to prospective employers.
