A degree in business administration gives students an understanding of current business principles and practices. Typically, an undergraduate degree in business administration will feature courses in finance, strategy, management, and information technology. In addition, students learn conflict resolution, organization, communication, time management, leadership, and critical thinking skills.
Students who choose to pursue a Master of Business Administration or MBA, will spend their first year taking an in depth look at business. They will study economics, marketing, operational and supply chain management, governmental policy, and international business. In their second year, most MBA candidates focus on a specific area of study. These areas include accounting, applied management, corporate strategy, economics, human resources, international business, and finance. Upon graduation, MBA students are eligible for upper level positions and command substantial salaries.
