As the name implies, project managers are responsible for the efficient and effective completion of various company projects. Project managers can be found in a number of business settings, and often specialize in a particular industry such as information technology, engineering, business, and human resources.
Students can earn an undergraduate degree in either project management or the discipline in which they intend to specialize. Individuals who choose to specialize must then enroll in a graduate program in order to become a project manager. These degree programs teach students to develop projects; outline performance objectives; determine resource and budget requirements; choose, motivate, and lead team members; and resolve conflicts.
