A lot of these people inherited large amounts of money. You don’t need education to be born rich, so I think you should make another list of the people who worked their way up and their educational levels – that might tell a different story.

So, I would say the report correctly reflects how those riches treat diploma.
If there were researches to reflect education level, when those riches started to their rich-making business, that will be more convincing to say whether education is use or useless in making money.
What is misleading about this article, is that even though some of these people might not have received a formal education, they were still educated either through their family financial education or they sought through their own means the information they were interested.
Making money is a very specialized and narrow set of abilities to be acquired for those willing to take the time it takes and make the choices it requires. Very few people do take the time to really think how it works, and think it’s either greed, magic or inheritance that leads to wealth and never figure it out for themselves.
