Degree Modes
For most people the words college and campus are one in the same. To them college is more than a degree; it is an experience. It involves dorm life, sororities, fraternities, late night study sessions, sporting events, and of course classes. In addition to the physical experience, earning a degree on campus affects students in other ways.
Students attending college for the first time often require guidance. It is difficult to go from an atmosphere of constant reminders to complete responsibility. Therefore, the majority of high school graduates are better served earning a campus degree than studying online. Enrollment in a campus degree program means attending classes, having face-to-face interaction with instructors and other students, and being prompted to complete assignments. This allows for a comfortable transition from dependence to independence.
