Degree Modes
A degree in curriculum and instruction prepares students to become curriculum designers for public and private school systems. Many of these school systems are expected to meet local, state, and federal learning standards. Therefore, they depend on these professionals to develop and implement a curriculum that meets both these standards and the educational needs of the students they serve.
Curriculum and instruction designers are required to have an undergraduate degree, although a majority of students earn a master’s. Classes are offered in both a traditional university setting or online. These classes include courses in learning theory, instructional design, application of educational research methods, instructional strategies, and learning styles.
