A degree in educational leadership prepares students for positions in primary and secondary schools; technical and vocational schools; colleges and universities; and the corporate world. Graduates may become principals, administrators, college admissions directors, college department chairs, and professional development and corporate trainers.
Admission to an educational leadership program requires an undergraduate degree and any industry related testing or certification prerequisites. Students study leadership in education and take a variety of classes designed to prepare them to assume this role. Coursework may include the study of instruction, human resources, external development, management, and multicultural, political, and strategic leadership.
