Nursing is one of the most flexible fields in the healthcare industry. Depending on their career and educational goals, nursing students can become Licensed Practical Nurses, Registered Nurses, or Master Nurses. They can work in a variety of specialties including emergency room, home health, critical care, oncology, geriatrics, pediatrics, mental health, pulmonary, and obstetrics. Nurses can work in hospitals, schools, corporations, or clinics. They can also work for nursing agencies that fill temporary positions around the country.
But the choices don’t end there. Nursing students can enroll in certificate programs or earn an associate, bachelor’s, master’s, or doctorate degree. Students also have the choice of studying at a community college, nursing school, four-year college, or distance learning program. With all these options, nursing is one of the most flexible and satisfying careers in the healthcare industry.
