It’s true that nurses are in demand, but unless you have a top notch resume you’re chances of getting a good job are slim. Knowing how to write an impressive nursing resume is an important step in landing that ideal position. A nursing resume should summarize all the experience you have accumulated in school or in past positions. Here are a few tips that will help to make your resume stand out.

When writing your resume, don’t be modest. This is one place where, as long as you’re truthful, it’s ok to blow your own horn. If you belonged to any nursing organizations or received any scholarships or grants or had a high grade average point, make certain you mention it in your skills and education.

List the nursing programs you attended along with any specialized classes that you took. Include your specific skills, awards and all certifications and licenses you have earned.
