Kaplan University’s Master of Science in Health Education could prepare you to help solve community health issues through educational programs that promote healthy lifestyles and behaviors. The master’s degree program offers a comprehensive mix of public health, health education, and health care administration content. In addition, the program aligns with the competencies published by the National Commission for Health Education Credentialing (NCHEC) for Certified Health Education Specialists (CHES) and Master Certified Health Education Specialists (MCHES). And, as a master’s-level graduate, you may be eligible to sit for both exams.†Accelerated Master of Science in Health Education Option
This accelerated option allows you to earn a bachelor’s degree in a health sciences discipline and a Master of Science in Health Education at a faster pace and lower cost than completing each degree separately. Designed for high-potential undergraduate students interested in earning both a bachelor’s and master’s degree, the accelerated option allows you to work toward your bachelor’s degree while simultaneously completing up to five core courses in the Master of Science in Health Education. If you successfully complete these courses with a minimum course grade, and have applied and been accepted to the Kaplan University Master of Science in Health Education, you will enter a shortened version of the master’s degree program. The Bachelor of Science in Health Information Management program is designed to act as the next step for individuals who already possess a Kaplan University or CAHIIM-approved Associate of Applied Science in Health Information Technology degree. The objective of the degree program is to prepare graduates to pursue career advancement within the growing field of health information.* Students prepare to become innovative and adaptable thinkers and problem solvers who can leverage available services and technologies to support operations, management, and strategic initiatives within the health information field.
