Environmental scientists study what effect business, manufacturing, and people have on the environment. They work to find ways of eliminating pollution and stopping as much environmental damage as possible. In addition, they use this information to educate the public and shape government policy.
Environmental science is a large field of study and there are many interesting ways of earning a degree. Students can pursue an undergraduate or graduate degree in environmental management, environmental engineering, natural resource management, and sustainable development. Individuals with an environmental science degree often assume positions in public health, waste disposal, recycling, and pollution control.
