The majority of WIU students are adults who thrive on the strength of our rigorous accredited degree programs, while appreciating the flexibility of our convenient service, locations, and our intensive, two-month course schedules geared toward adult education. You can attend class oncampus, online live with WIU Interactive Online, or both! Classes meet once a week for two months, and are scheduled during the day, in the evening, and on weekends. New sessions start every month.

Business and Administration
Are you interested in a general business degree? Or would you like to specialize in a selected discipline? Either way, the BS in Business program gives you the option to choose. How will you gain the knowledge you'll need to move directly into the corporate world? You can select ten major courses that interest you; you can choose five major courses and one minor; or you can choose dual minors. For you, that might mean Accounting, Legal Studies, or Marketing. Whatever excites you, your minor will provide excellent preparation for further graduate study. Not sure which minor(s) to choose? Not to worry—you won't declare the minor until you are further along in your program, so you have time to decide!
Communication Studies
Are you challenged by the intricacies of communicating your vision to your teammates, boss, community, or stakeholders? Are you looking for the ability and knowledge you need to take your communication skills to a whole new level? Then a BA in Professional Communication may be the degree program for you! You'll develop, implement, and evaluate communication strategies for specific target audiences based on social, cultural, and relational factors. With this program, you’ll gain the edge you need for greater success in any career. This degree should be of special interest to anyone looking to enter the fields of public relations, the media, human resources, blogging, or sales.
Computers and Technology
Would you like to learn more about the way information technology affects the business world? Or study new uses for IT in business, as well as how people and technology interact with one another in order to solve specific business-related issues? Are you interested in programming and database management? The Informatics IT degree program will further your understanding of the most relevant topics in this field, while preparing you to compete in the business arena. You'll be prepared for a position in a specialized area like systems analysis, business applications programming, business database design, and others.
